Embarking on a journey from the bustling streets of Hong Kong to the picturesque campus of the University of Mannheim in Germany has been a dream come true for me. As a year 2 student who had never left Asia before, this semester exchange opportunity granted by PolyU has opened doors to an entirely new world of experiences, culture, and education.

Chapter 1: A Glimpse into My Life at Home

Growing up in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, my academic journey had always been centered around its classrooms, where I formed lasting friendships, gained valuable knowledge, and learned the true essence of multiculturalism. The local culture and Asian way of life shaped my perspectives, making the upcoming journey to Europe an exciting yet nerve-wracking endeavor.
