First year of having a qualifying round and final round of CTF competition. Also first KOTH CTF commpetition, it is an amazing experience. Although we did not score as well as last year, it was still an wonderful chapter for me.

Thank you for all my teammates hardwork and hope you guys can perform better next year.

HackaDay CTF Competition 2024

It was a great honor to have the opportunity to participate once again in the PwC HackDay 2024. This year, we are proud to announce that we emerged as the Champion of the 8th PwC Hack A Day CTF Competition.

The inclusion of a new category, Identity challenges, added an element of excitement to the event. Exploring these challenges proved to be an engaging experience, requiring the application of various techniques to acquire the knowledge of an identity. It was a remarkable journey to successfully exfiltrate a person with just his/her name.

I would like to express my gratitude to all my teammates for their exceptional teamwork throughout the competition. Hope everyone have a nice experience in the competition.

HKCERT CTF 2023

This year (2023), I had the privilege of participating in the HKCERT CTF for the second time alongside my talented PolyU friends. Together, we achieved an incredible feat, securing 1st place in the Tertiary Division. The competition was a thrilling journey, testing our technical skills and problem-solving abilities across various cybersecurity domains.

Thank you for all my teammates hardwork and I cannot wait to join again next year, and achieving even greater heights together.

HackaDay CTF Competition 2023

It was a great honor to have the opportunity to participate once again in the PwC HackDay 2023. This year, we are proud to announce that we emerged as the Champion of the 7th PwC Hack A Day CTF Competition.

The inclusion of a new category, Artificial Intelligence challenges, added an element of excitement to the event. Exploring these challenges proved to be an engaging experience, requiring the application of various techniques to bypass the restrictions imposed on the AI model, such as the Model Serialization Attack and Data Poisoning Attack. It was a remarkable journey to successfully infiltrate the AI system and discover that not all AI systems are adequately built at present.

I would like to express my gratitude to all my teammates for their exceptional teamwork throughout the competition. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reunite with everyone next year.

HackaDay CTF Competition 2022

I am thrilled to be able to represent The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in the upcoming PwC HackaDay CTF Competition 2022. This international competition provides a unique opportunity for me to demonstrate my knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

The competition was an online event, with participants from Macau and Singapore. I am proud to have finished 6th in Hong Kong and 11th overall in this fiercely competitive event.

Participating in this esteemed competition was a great honor. My experience in the competition also solidified my passion and commitment to a career in the cybersecurity field.

I believe that the skills and knowledge I gained in this competition will be beneficial to my future endeavours. I am grateful to have had the chance to represent PolyU and to have had the opportunity to grow as a professional.

I am looking forward to more opportunities in the near future to participate in similar events.

HKCERT CTF 2022

This is my second year to participate in HKCERT CTF (last year). This year I had the privilege of being accompanied by some of my PolyU friends, and we achieved a wonderful result of 7th in the Tertiary Division and 14th Overall. It was an honour to be a part of such an event and I would be delighted to be part of it again next year.

PolyU CTF Qualifier Competition 2022

I recently participated in the PolyU CTF Qualifier Competition 2022, playing as an individual and was glad to be able to take part. I am proud to say I finished in 4th place, and although I am not completely satisfied with my result, I am pleased with the effort I put in and the new skills I learnt along the way.

The competition was tough, as there were lots of challenges that I haven’t seen before. I learned a lot from the experience, as I got to understand how different CTFs work and gained a great deal of new knowledge.

I am happy that I was able to join the competition and am glad for the chance to take part. Although I had to compete alone, I was able to build a great rapport with the other teams and form supportive relationships.

Overall, I am really grateful for the chance to compete and learn, and wish I could participate in more competitions. I plan on continuing to hone my skills and improve my strategies, in order to reach my full potential in future CTFs.

HKCERT CTF 2021

Although I have been programming a lot since I was 14 years old, I have yet to participate in any programming challenges. In this competition, I have been invited by a friend who is currently studying in Secondary 6. As I have already guaduated from my Secondary School, we have to join the Open Category which is much more competitive than Secondary division and Tertiary division.

It was a great experience and I would like to participate again next year.
